Minimalist is hard. Because people always want new thing!
I read a post about minimalist, there are some different kinds of minimalist styles. I think I’m more close to this style, but not exactly same. I rather prefer toss the old things to procure different, maybe not better. For example, I really want to sell my restoration hardware expensive and good quality buffet and get something simple, maybe ikea or west elm, or nothing. Just please don’t last forever, haha.
Last year I almost bought nothing during the holiday season at the end of year, because I was obsessed with getting rid of old things…which made me feel 100 times better than get new things. I sold my old irobot, since I thought I will never used it again, and I have a dyson, their function are overlapped, there is no need to keep both. After one year, things changed. I’m no longer a fan on my old dyson, it’s still the best tool to clean our house, but it’s too heavy, i’m thinking about getting the robot back and get a dyson v8. There are too many smart tools on market, so I’m still not sure which one should I get, probably the one has best discount.
Irobot and dyson v8
I have a rainbow collection of le creuset pots. I felt I have too many, even thought of selling some of them, hah. This idea was ended by the difficult to pick out which one I want to sell, no one. I have a yellow stockpot, which is louis’s favorite. He burned it so many times and now a small piece of enamel cracked and so many scratches outside. I asked can I toss it? He said yes. Very excited! Which means I can get a replacement!
We use this stockpot almost everyday. Most time it’s making noodle, we are all noodle people, or ramen people. I found a pot made for noodle. The multipot. I already bought this one, so looking forward to it!
Our laundry is in first floor. I’ve been looking for some pretty baskets that easy to carry for a long time. When I saw this la jolla basket from Serena and lily, I know this is the one. The bad thing is they had a sale before, it’s in black color, I was about to place order, then someone asked me to do something, then I totally forget it. When I came back, it’s sold out… Now they have 25% off everything in stock. Not the best but at least not bad. I searched other brands and other similar baskets, prices are similar or not as pretty as this one.
The last thing we are going to get is a live christmas tree! A real tree like the following picture.
We had a beautiful faux tree, I already feel tired of it, it’s still good quality and pretty though. So lucky I sold it online in a second! Including all charms and other Christmas decorations. So this year will be a totally fresh year, we can get everything new! So excited!
Live Christmas Tree
That’s all came up to my mind of everything i want this year. I’m still a sustainable minimalist person. What’s on your wishlist?
